How to have your watch bracelet adjusted

1. Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent

When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet made from links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge.

Simply type your wrist measurement (in inches or centimetres) into the Notes section of the checkout and we will ensure the watch bracelet is adjusted accordingly before being sent.  We will also include all the surplus links with the watch.

Note: If paying by Google checkout, there may not be an opportunity to specify notes.  In this case, simply send a follow up email using the Contact Us button order stating your name, order number and wrist measurement.

Your wrist can be measured by using a piece of string.

If you are purchasing a watch with a non-adjustable bracelet (mostly gold watches) then the watch must go to the manufacturer's service department for the adjustment.  This is a straight forward process which usually takes one week.

Please note that specifying a bracelet adjustment may delay your order by up to one day.

Watches with bracelets adjusted by Watch Shop UK are still eligible under our refund policy.

It is not always possible to adjust a watch bracelet to the precise measurement you require with only a wrist measurement.  Although almost in every case the measurement will be correct, in some cases it may be necessary to have the watch further adjusted at a local jeweller or watchmaker.  This is a free service, therefore we cannot provide any compensation for consequential losses for a) failure to adjust the bracelet, or b) inaccuracies in the adjustment.


2.  Have it adjusted locally by a jeweller or keycutter and we will refund you up to £5

Alternatively you can have it adjusted locally by a jewellers shop or keycutter.  Most places should be able to perform this service for £5.  Please note that certain places will charge more for this service, but we can only refund you up to £5.  A national chain which we recommend for this service is Timpson.

To take advantage of this, you must return the receipt for the bracelet adjustment to us, along with your order number.  We will then refund you the cost of the adjustment, up to £5, to the original payment method.  Please allow up to 14 days for your credit to be processed.
